The true test of princesshood is this - the ultimate challenge of treading water for XX minutes, swimming back & forth for XX laps, taking her PJs out under water, tying knots & inflating the trousers to make a float. The principle behind the challenge is sensible - that there may not always be a prince to depend on for survival in the event of a shipwreck or a tsunami. Or that the eager prince may, out of a twist of fate, pass out, hence bearing upon the princess to fend for herself, on top of having to worry about rescuing the prince. The story, in short, can take on different endings... hence, preparedness is a virtue. Afterall, this P-word is longer & sounds better than just a silly 'pea'.
Princess Ash enjoys a light-hearted moment with best friend, Princess Kim, before start of the challenge
Never forget to stick together as this speaks volumes for sisterhood
Princess Ash presses on, despite getting a 'kick-start' from staying too close to her best friend. The results: goggles knocked out of place & a brief episode of panic. Lesson learnt: Survival sometimes has to be a lonely thing... sigh! Whatever!
Finally, round 1 completed!
Finally, round 1 completed!
On to the survival round, Princess Ash found her 'float' a wee bit too small to rest her chin on. The mother of the princess asked if the problem could be recified, to which Princess Ash indignantly asked "how?". Finally, it was a consensus that Princess Ash should just try to look comfortable & safe ... haha.
On to the real test of swimming the laps!
Princess Ash now stays slightly apart from best friend - just in case! Survival over sisterhood ... sigh.
Huff & puff!
Hey, look at me! - The 'I just came out of the grind! Take me on!' kindda look.
Oh! Looking sweet again with mom & dad.
Hey, look at me! - The 'I just came out of the grind! Take me on!' kindda look.
Po Po giving a BIG V! Now we know who is the grandmother of all girl-liness... hee.
"We did it! We are real princesses now!!
