Teacher Shauna's Magical Box

I really enjoy Teacher Shauna's classes. Last weekend, she did Lesson 7 of Our Time: Milk & Cookies. Me and Angel got to pretend we were toasts popping out of the toaster. How cool was that! And we did three swings, after we popped out. Not one, but three! Awesome swinging fun!

Storytime was Cookies. Teacher Shauna took out a box which was magically transformed into an 'oven', out of which she took her props of cup, egg-beater etc. Angel always attends with intense curiosity when the story teller reaches inside boxes for the contents. She waits with anticipation and a rare display of patience for the contents to be gradually revealed. That's about the only time I don't have to chase after my wandering pipsqueak.

The stamp is always the reward the kiddos look forward to at the end of the class. I am amazed at just how easily contented children naturally are. Seriously, they don't ask for much. Neither do they demand much. A lot of love, a generous dose of affection, a reasonable territory for self-exploration and fun fun fun! That's all it takes to make a child happy.

My Angel is truly in her bliss of contentment and innocence. And that's all that matters - for now. She was secure & even sort of muttered to herself - where (is Mama)? Nonchalantly, she ignored the fact that I was hidden from her sight for a while. She returned to Teacher Shauna and her swinging buddies. Then she remembered I was somewhere in the room and ran to me in excitement.

Night walk with Ye Ye & Nai Nai

Angel was visibly excited when she spotted Ye Ye & Nai Nai in the food court. She was in fact so thrilled she tugged at my hair! Yes, ouch! After dinner, we took a walk along Marina Bay and Ye Ye was eager to give Angel an introduction to our famous landmarks - in Mandarin.

The Wiggly Kiddos

Godpa A & Godma K visited one Sunday. Godma K made yum yum Thai-style salad & stir-fried fish with spring onions. Aren't we simply blessed?
