Welcoming a new 'baggage': Hello Kate Spade, Coach & Gucci!

I reckon there's something sinister yet subtle about hitting the big 0 again. You sort of tell yourself you have to let go. Typically if you do that with past baggage of hurts, trauma and unhappiness, that's psychologically healthy. But in my case, I welcomed a new 'baggage', literally.

OMG! Was I taken by surprise by myself? Have I lost my prudence & at risk of overindulgence? LOL. Only time will tell. At this moment, my modus operandi is this: I never buy anything that ends up just being an exhibit in my wardrobe. A bag has to be first functional, then aesthetically appealing & if I am gonna pay for a designer bag, it jolly well be worth the price tag, i.e., it has to last a long long time.

I don't care what other people say or think about designer products. The chic look, the fashion appeal, the sophisticated classiness. All that's well. Granted there will be inevitable wear & tear, the test of the brand is the quality. Period.

Tribute to my Aldo:

My long-time Aldo tote. Now, thou shall not despise this sturdy bag that's both functional & nice-to-feel. It has clocked quite substantial mileage! I stuffed it right under my front-row seat, on flight, each time I travelled & it has endured such rough treatment. Ahem! Of course, I won't do that with my new bags simply because I paid more for them. Aha... now, I have become a slave to my possessions. Oh no..... ;P
