A Thank You Note to My Jesus

This Lunar New Year holidays passed by, as swiftly as it came. Two days just before the holidays, I had a mini meltdown. Crappy moments of pent-up frustrations because both kiddos seem to choose to 'rebel' pre-holidays. My elder one seem to know playtime was nearing and worked hard at running over the home routine! My poor mom!

I had to chew some nuts and bolts to steady myself and pray believing that God will see us through each holi-DAY. Live in day-tight compartments. Trust God! And it happened! Each day came and went. The usual tantrums but a different me inside. One who knew God was in charge. And He was indeed. The kiddos were overall cooperative and well-behaved.

One night before bedtime, I had these words of praise rising from inside of me:

There's no mountain too high
No ocean too deep
But when we are deep in the trenches
We sometimes forget.

It's when we look toward heaven
That we know
The battle has already been won
The victory is already ours.

Thank you Lord Jesus
That You called us worthy
For a life so short & frail
Your imperfect vessels
To fulfill your perfect will.

On Sunday morning service, I took a step of faith & put my elder one through the '4-year-old test'! It's the test of sitting through an entire worship service with us, since it was a bilingual family service & there was no Grace Star Junior.

With the dancers in front during worship, a giant sticker book, a Disney Junior magazine and some drawing, we pulled through the whole service elegantly, without whining or restlessness. Great job, Angel! Mama is super proud of you. We celebrate Angel passing the '4-year-old test'! I still owe her a lollipop although she did get an ice cream cone :)
