Uncle Fred's Adventures on his Hatch Day

The calm before the action began: the pits beside the pool.

Action! And all the smoke!

 Introducing resident BBQ-chefs, Uncle Fred & Gong-gong.

 Trainee chef Ashley Thor's internship. Gong-gong decided to co-train with Uncle Fred... urm, more like supervised.

 Although Tristan Thor did not sign up for the training, he managed to observe from a vantage point.

Me and Mum-in-law just stood around & cheered the chefs & little chef on.

Oh, Tristan Thor was the first guest to the food. Aunty Lisa assisted.

Ethan Lim & Chloe Lim arrived & the party started full-swing.

So resident-chef Uncle Robin, our secret weapon, volunteered to keep the food coming.

 Happy guests. Uncle Fred's mom & pa.

 Mom couldn't resist carrying Chloe.

The wild-wild-wet party: Tristan, Ashley changed into wetsuit/costume;
well, Ethan's shirt & shorts became a wetsuit ultimately.
The trio pretended to be frogs for a while.

Good thing big people could have fun without pretend-play. They just had a good time eating & talking.

Cupcake-BDay Cake! Yeah!

Baby Chloe did a one-leg-kick for this picture.

Everybody in! (almost, Aunty Ting was taking this picture)

Tristan: What's Uncle Fred doing with his fingers? Hmm ...

Aunty Ting helped to carry Chloe.

Baked Mussels sprinkled with Parmesan Cheese, Potatoes & Carrots with sweet Basil & Couscous

I scored an A-plus for this!

Special mentions:
1. The basil leaves in the soup were from our pot at the balcony
(still closely monitoring if the bunch will survive ~ fingers crossed);

2. The hubby said to me - Wow! You gotta take a photo of this.
(I was like - that was so sweet, Hon - in my heart,
but brushed that off outwardly, saying - no need lah, may not be nice ok!
Nonetheless, I 'did' take a picture afterall. Ha!)

A collage of some of my most loved ones...

The children are growing up too fast, the elderly folks are growing old too soon...

Time just won't stand still. Not when you are happy, surrounded by family & enjoying life. But always when you are sad & dreading the next day...

I will always wish I have spent more time with my loved ones.
