This is what happens when Angel decides to put sand in her hair.
Didi has music in his head while feeding on his apple. It goes - if you are happy & you know it, stomp your feet... wave your hands. Not sure what happened to clapping? Maybe he coordinates with his right foot stomping. Heh!
These are short essays, photo and video chronicles of my travels, significant events or just ordinary events with special meaning. These people are my family and friends, whom I dearly love.

(The Story Behind) Evan's First Birthday Party
Being a rather KS mama, I made plans for Evan's 1 year old party well ahead of time. I thought I would be able to give myself a pat on the shoulder. But as it turned out, God's ways are higher than mine! And a couple of days after I sent the invite out, our skies were blanketed by haze.
So the haze worsened day by day & I started thinking that I would seriously need a back-up plan if an outdoor BBQ became impossible. We prayed for clear skies & waited. Finally, although the PSI did let up, for our peace of mind & consideration for our guests, I went ahead to book the facility at our old place. I was happy because this was the same place we held Angel's 1st birthday party. Guess it was meant to be.

The party wasn't perfect-perfect. Since we moved indoors, my plan for the kiddos to be entertained at the BBQ pit's nearby outdoor playground was foiled. It was meant to do the job of a bouncy castle. On top of scoring a low for kids' entertainment, Angel had a meltdown at the all-important segment of birthday song & candle-blowing! We didn't have picture-perfect moments. Plus, silly me, I had forgotten to ask someone to help me with the photography! Godma volunteered her help generously but fumbled with a camera unfamiliar to her. Oh well! At the end of the mayhem, to cut myself some slack, I comforted myself with the thought that we did manage to bring together everyone we had in mind, whom we gave thanks for, family & friends. And we were blessed that they came & wished Evan a blessed first birthday. I suppose this mattered most.
